How Fastshot works
An AI mobile app builder, end to end — from a prompt to a published app.
Most mobile app builders give you a template and a drag-and-drop editor. Fastshot doesn't. You describe what you want — in a sentence or a paragraph — and Fastshot generates the underlying code: a real React Native and Expo project, fully editable, ready to deploy. What follows are the questions we get asked most often, with the most direct answers we can give.
What is Fastshot?
Fastshot is an AI mobile app builder. You describe what you want to build in plain language, and Fastshot generates a production-grade React Native and Expo project — the kind of project a working mobile engineer would write — ready to extend, test, and ship to the App Store and Google Play. There is no template to start from and no drag-and-drop editor. The description is the input, and a working app is the output.
How does Fastshot work?
You write a prompt. Fastshot turns that prompt into a structured plan — screens, data models, auth, navigation, integrations — and generates the code to match. You can preview the app, ask for changes in natural language, and keep iterating until the app looks and behaves the way you want. When you are ready, you deploy.
What does Fastshot generate?
React Native and Expo code — the same cross-platform framework that powers apps from Shopify, Discord, Microsoft, and Coinbase. You get a working iOS and Android app from a single codebase, with the project structure, dependencies, and configuration a senior engineer would set up by hand.
Who is Fastshot for?
Founders, designers, product managers, and operators who have an idea for a mobile app and do not want to spend three months and six figures finding out whether it works. If you have ever written a product spec and watched it sit in an engineering backlog, Fastshot is for you.
Do I own the code Fastshot generates?
Yes. The code is yours, the project is yours, the app is yours. You can export it, host it, fork it, or hand it to an engineer to extend. Fastshot is not a walled garden. We think mobile app builders that hold your code hostage are a category problem, and we built Fastshot specifically not to be one.
Can I publish a Fastshot app to the App Store and Google Play?
Yes. Fastshot generates standard React Native and Expo projects, which compile to native iOS and Android binaries through the regular Apple and Google submission processes.
How is Fastshot different from no-code mobile app builders like Tapcart or Shopney?
Template-based builders give you a fixed frame and let you configure it. Fastshot generates the frame itself, from scratch, every time. The output is real code, not a configured template. The editor is a conversation, not a sidebar of switches. And the app you ship is one you could keep maintaining for the next ten years, with or without Fastshot in the picture.
Who built Fastshot?
Dmitry Fatkhi (CEO), Elvira Dzhuraeva (CPO), and Alexander Sukhanov (CTO). Between them, more than two decades building production AI and infrastructure at Google and Cisco. The full story is on the About page.
