About Fastshot

An AI mobile app builder, built by three engineers from Google and Cisco.

In 2024, Dmitry was on a team at Google building the first generation of AI agents — software designed to do, autonomously, what no engineer could do alone. The work was remarkable. What was more remarkable was how few people outside the building knew it was possible yet.

Elvira, in the same year, was the product manager shipping Google's AI developer tools — the infrastructure that put large language models in the hands of every engineer in the company. She had spent the better part of a decade trying to bring serious machine learning out of the research labs and into the hands of ordinary builders: first through Kubeflow, the open-source ML framework she helped found, and then through Google's developer platform itself.

They were watching the same thing from different vantage points. The gap between what AI could do for the person building inside a trillion-dollar company, and what was available to the person building alone, was about to collapse. The question was who was going to close it.

In late 2025, joined by Alexander — who had spent eight years at Cisco architecting the large-scale, high-load systems that Fastshot would be built on — they left and started the company.

    What we're building

Fastshot is an AI-powered, no-code mobile app builder. You describe what you want in plain language; Fastshot writes the code — a production-grade React Native and Expo project, ready to extend, deploy, and ship to the App Store. What used to take a team of engineers months now takes hours, alone.

The premise is simple. The work of building a mobile app — authentication, navigation, payments, push, state, the rest — is the same work, rebuilt thousands of times a year by thousands of teams. AI now writes that work faster, more reliably, and more cheaply than any human can. What remains is the work that always mattered: the idea, the design, the taste, the decisions only the person closest to the problem can make. Fastshot exists to remove everything else.

Fastshot is a Y Combinator company (F25), founded in San Francisco in 2025.

    The team

Between us, we have spent more than two decades building production AI and infrastructure at Google and Cisco — systems that serve hundreds of millions of users every day.

Dmitry Fatkhi, Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer. Dmitry spent nine years building infrastructure at Cisco and Google for products serving hundreds of millions of users. At Google, he worked on the first generation of AI agents and on the Core ML and GCP infrastructure that supports the company's largest products.

Elvira spent four years at Google as a Senior Product Manager on AI developer tools, working on large language models, agents, and the infrastructure developers use to build with them. Earlier, she led machine learning and edge-AI product work at Cisco Meraki, and was a founding contributor to Kubeflow — the open-source ML orchestration framework now used by tens of thousands of teams worldwide. She studied at Stanford GSB.
