Natively wraps your website in a WebView shell. These tools either build native screens from your site or give a wrapper more control. Fastshot builds a native iOS and Android app from your URL.
Fastshot, if you want more than a WebView shell. Paste your site's URL and Fastshot reads your pages and brand, then builds a native iOS and Android app you keep editing by chat. To stay with a wrapper, Median and WebToNative are the direct rivals. The AI builder that used to be called Natively is now Newly.

Natively, at buildnatively.com, converts a website into an iOS and Android app. Its docs say it wraps your site in a native shell using WebView, so the app shows your web content as a mobile browser would, with native features switched on from a dashboard, a JavaScript SDK or a Bubble plugin: push notifications, in-app purchases, QR scanning, NFC, biometrics and AdMob among them. It works with any HTTPS site, including ones built in Lovable, Base44, Replit, Bubble, WordPress and Shopify, and changes to the website show up in the app without a resubmission. That speed is a real strength.
People search for an alternative because of what a wrapper is. The app is your website, so its layout, loading speed and menus are the app's. The Natively FAQ says site functionality behaves as it does in Chrome or Safari, and that a rebuild and store resubmission are needed whenever you change the dashboard: the icon, enabled features, the app URL, or after a core platform update. Median's publishing guide adds that Apple's Guideline 4.2 expects apps powered by web content to offer an elevated, app-like interface, which is why wrapper tools push native navigation and an app-style home page.
There is also a naming problem. Two products carried the Natively name. The AI app builder at natively.dev was renamed Newly in March 2026, so a search for Natively alternatives mixes the website converter with the AI builder. This page covers both: wrappers (Median, WebToNative) and tools that produce native code (Fastshot, Newly, and the native editor in Bubble).
What each tool turns your site into, based on the vendors' own pages in November 2026.
| Tool | What you get | Native screens | Store publishing | When the website changes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Fastshot | A native React Native app built from your site's pages, content and brand | Yes, generated screens you edit by chat | Builds APK, AAB and IPA; TestFlight and Google Play with your accounts | Describe the change in chat; the app is its own codebase |
| Median | A WebView shell around your site, built in App Studio | Native menus, push, deep links and biometrics; page content stays web | Publishing guide, or a managed publishing service | The app follows the site |
| WebToNative | A WebView wrapper with 120+ native features and add-ons | Native tabs, splash screen and push; page content stays web | Publishing to the App Store and Play Store | Syncs in real time; a rebuild is needed only for core feature changes |
| Newly | An AI builder for React Native and Expo apps, formerly Natively | Yes | TestFlight from the chat, plus APK and AAB builds | Edit by chat; export as zip, CLI or GitHub |
| Bubble native editor | Native mobile views built next to your Bubble web app | Yes, mobile views and elements | BubbleGo and TestFlight, then store submission outside Bubble | Shares the database with the web app |
| Natively (for reference) | A WebView shell around any HTTPS site | Icon, loading screen, bottom bar; page content stays web | IPA, APK and AAB binaries with automatic iOS upload | No rebuild for web changes; rebuild for dashboard changes |
One pick for each kind of site owner.
Paste your URL and Fastshot turns the pages, navigation and branding into native screens. Then add push notifications, Adapty subscriptions and AdMob ads by chat. The website to app page shows the flow.
Median is a WebView platform with native navigation, push notifications, deep linking and biometric login around your site, a JavaScript bridge, and a publishing service if you want the team to handle submission.
It lists 120+ native features and add-ons, including OneSignal push, AdMob, bottom tabs and a barcode scanner, with JavaScript, WordPress and Bubble integrations for deeper control.
Newly is the product formerly named Natively at natively.dev. It builds React Native and Expo apps from a prompt, runs them in cloud simulators and sends iPhone builds to TestFlight from the chat.
Bubble builds native mobile views against the same database as your web app and previews them with BubbleGo. See Bubble alternatives if the learning curve is the issue.
In the Natively dashboard, find the App URL, the website your app loads. That address is the only thing Fastshot needs from your Natively setup.
Start a project, paste the URL and say who the app is for: customers, members or staff. Fastshot reads the menus, pages, colors, fonts and logo of the live site and proposes native screens.
Natively's bottom bar, loading screen and error screen become tabs and screens in the generated app. Review the plan and adjust it in chat, for example by making the third tab a profile screen.
If Natively ran push notifications, in-app purchases or AdMob for you, ask Fastshot for the same. Push notifications and AdMob ads are built in, and subscriptions use Adapty by default or RevenueCat if you used that in Natively.
If visitors log in on your website, ask for sign-in with email, Google or Apple backed by Supabase, so the app has accounts of its own and a database of its own.
Fastshot builds the IPA and AAB on its own machines and uploads to TestFlight and Google Play. Use your existing Apple Developer account ($99 a year) and Google Play account ($25 one-time).
Natively has a free tier for setting up and testing your app on a real device in Preview mode. Store binaries and publishing sit on its paid plans. With Fastshot you can sign up and build a first version free, previewing it in your browser and in Expo Go on your phone.
Not quite. Natively at buildnatively.com is the website-to-app converter. The separate AI app builder that ran at natively.dev changed its name to Newly in March 2026, and Newly says on its about page that it was formerly Natively. People searching for Natively alternatives may mean either product.
A wrapper loads your website inside an embedded browser, so every screen is a web page with a native frame. A native app draws its own screens. Fastshot builds the second kind: a React Native app with real tabs and screens made from your site, not a browser window around it.
With a wrapper, content changes on the site appear in the app, and only dashboard changes need a rebuild. With Fastshot the app is its own codebase: you describe the change in chat, check it in the preview and publish a new build.
A PWA is a responsive website that runs from the home screen. Bubble's own glossary notes that PWAs reach fewer device features than native apps, and Android supports more of them than iOS does. Glide, a PWA-only builder, says its apps cannot be published to the App Store or Google Play.
An Apple Developer account at $99 a year and a Google Play account at $25 one-time. Natively and Median both require them. Fastshot uses the same accounts, builds the IPA and AAB for you and handles the TestFlight upload.
Yes. Natively's docs have guides for sites from those builders. For Fastshot, publish the site, paste its URL and Fastshot builds a native app from its pages and branding. Our website to app conversion guide compares the approaches.
